<5>Cougar – lightweight, two-piece Level C(3) protection.

The Cougar provides a versatile CBRN protection system that’s ideal for use in all environments – especially hot and humid conditions. Two-piece construction and light weight make it quick and easy to don and operate with minimum restriction to mobility and capability. This suit is a tough, versatile, low-heat stress permeable-type garment system. The Cougar can be worn as an over-garment or a stand-alone ensemble. Used in conjunction with appropriate respirator, gloves and over-boots, the Cougar provides a Level C(3) protection for military and civil users against all chemical and biological agents.

The hooded jacket and trouser combination is made from a multiple layering of specialist fabrics, designed for comfort and easy fit. While the outer shell is made from a polyester/cotton blend incorporating a fluorocarbon waterproof treatment and optional flame retardant finishes, the suit's specially laminated polyester/activated carbon inner layer allows it to be laundered for re-use.
